Cassano claimed that Ronaldo, captain of Al Nassr, sent him a message listing his career achievements, including his trophies, goals, and statistics after the Italian left Ronaldo out of his list of the top 10 greatest players of all time. Cassano’s list featured players like Lionel Messi, Pelé, and Diego Maradona, but not the prolific Portugese forward.

While speaking on a podcast, Cassano explained that he was referring to the legendary Brazilian forward Ronaldo as number one , not Cristiano Ronaldo. He explained that Cristiano Ronaldo didn’t make his top five or even top ten, as he believes “quality in a player is something different.”

Cassano went on to allege that after making these comments, he received a text from a Spanish number, listing all of Ronaldo’s accomplishments. The message was allegedly followed by a voice note from CR7 himself, saying that Cassano had disrespected him, warning him against doing so again.

In response, Cassano stated that he did not mean any disrespect towards Cristiano and that he simply did not like him as a player.
