The government has assured the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that asset declarations of high-level public officials (BPS 17-22) (including domestic and foreign assets) would be made through a Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) new digital portal.
The IMF’s staff report revealed that this will be to further operationalize the Government Servants (Conduct) Rules 1964 (Sections 12, 13, and 13-A) and consistent with the Right to Information Act of 2017.
